The launch of the new plastic mould steel "THRUHARD SUPREME" bears convincing testimony to the competence and leading international position of the company in forged plastic mould steels. The refined characteristics profile of high hardness, purity and machinability with virtually unlimited dimensions provides special application advantages. Despite a continuing decline in overall economic dynamism both nationally and internationally over the financial year, the Special Steel Products division achieved sales totalling €356.6 million, a figure never before achieved in the company's existence. The satisfactory level of sales in all product divisions lifted crude steel production a new high of 411,100 tonnes.
