New high-quality tool steel for plastic moulds

The company achieved the highest sales volume in its history, with an output of 253,200 tonnes. As part of a medium-term investment programme, a CNC controlled four-high cold-rolling mill came on stream, and an alloying plant was installed in the steel mill. One of the outstanding achievements of Edelstahlwerke Buderus' application-oriented research and development is a new high-polishable, grain-reliable and corrosion-resistant tool steel for plastic moulds.
