Installation of a 2,500-tonne press

The company's fiftieth financial year coincided with an economic high-point. Turnover exceeded the DM 2 million mark for the first time, reaching DM 229.1 million, a year-on-year increase of 28.1 percent. The export share of turnover declined year-on-year by 1.4 percent to 11.1 percent as a consequence of the DM revaluation. Investments amounting to DM 5.5 million served to further improve quality, rationalize production and expand capacity. The main investment was in the closed-die forge, where a 2,500-tonne press was installed.
