Start of an investment programme amounting to DM 25 million

A major investment programme was launched, initially extending to expansion of the machining workshop and other investments totalling DM 25 million. Crude steel production amounted to 104,200 tonnes, the first fall since 1953. The export share of total turnover grew from 12.7 percent in the previous year to 18 percent.
