Expansion of the Research department

The expansion of the hammer mill started in the previous year was completed with the extension of the buildings and commissioning of a 4,000-tonne press and modern large-scale annealing furnaces. Expansion of the Research department enabled the company to meet the increasing market demands for high-grade special steel. Friedrich Flick takes over the majority of the share capital of the Buderus iron works. Part of his corporate strategy from the start is for Buderus to take over Röchling's fifty percent stake in the share capital of the Röchling-Buderus steel works.
