Post-war reconstruction

Production had come to a standstill by the end of the war, and was resumed with recommissioning of the plate rolling mill in July. Metal sheet for covering bomb-damaged houses in Wetzlar and the surrounding area were manufactured from remaining materials from arms production. Towards the end of the year a department was set up for repairing railway goods wagons, and at the same time production of electric hot plates was started to employ severely disabled war casualties.
