Buderus Edelstahl is one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality special steels.
At the Wetzlar location we produce tool steel, engineering steel, open-die forgings, closed-die forgings, hot-rolled strip, cold-rolled strip and rolled semi-finished products. From melting to the final product, production is completely in our hands. We produce proven standard steels as well as special steels with consistently high quality in a wide range of dimensions.

Buderus Edelstahl is part of the Austrian voestalpine Group and employs around 1,090 people, including more than 50 apprentices in six different trades. Each year, the company produces approx. 300,000 tons of crude steel and sales of approximately 475 million euros are generated. Our export share is above 50 percent and we serve customers all over the world.
