Steel for plastic molds
Unalloyed forged tool steel for mold making. Suitable for hardening and tempering to achieve good surface hardening with moderate wear resistance.
Corrosion resistant. Particularly suitable for injection of chemically aggressive materials. Easy machining and polishing.
For molds up to 400 mm thickness and polishing up to 320 grit. Easy machining, allows polishing and hard chrome plating.
Easy to machine steel, allows deep drawing. For mold structures.
2316 ISO-B MOD
Corrosion resistant steel, easy to machine. Allows polishing and structuring of the surface.
For molds exposed to high mechanical stresses and thermal shocks. Allows polishing, structuring and surface treatment.
For molds thicker than 400 mm. Similar properties to 2311 ISO-BM but with improved hardening capability for thicker blocks.
2738 THRUHARD SUPREME® 2738mod.TS (HH)
Premium quality from Buderus Edelstahl. Guaranteed high hardness over the entire section. Excellent results on polished and/or textured parts. High thermal conductivity and affinity to welding processes.
2738 THRUHARD DIAMOND® (HHH)
High purity remelted steel with high hardness over the entire section. Improved properties for polished (3 micron paste) and/or highly textured parts. High thermal conductivity and affinity for welding.
2738 mod. EFFICIENT EXTRAHARD
For plastic molds with hardness requirements (350-395 HB). Allows polishing, hard chrome surface treatments, nitriding and flame or laser hardening.
Hot work tool steel
Hot work tool steel based on CrMoV. Resistant to thermal shock and wear.
2343 ISO-B MOD
Steel developed for aluminum and magnesium die casting industry. Excellent toughness and resistance to thermal fatigue.
CrMoV alloy steel for hot forming. Excellent hardening properties, high toughness, good high temperature hardness. Resistant to pressure, thermal shock and wear. Easy to machine in the annealed condition.
Steel for die casting molds with good hardening properties up to a theoretical diameter of 450 mm.
2714 ISO-B MOD
Based on 2714 ISO-B with optimized properties for quenching and tempering up to a theoretical diameter of 450 mm. Improved high temperature strength and wear resistance.
Special CrMoV alloy with excellent high temperature strength, good toughness and thermal conductivity. Improved properties compared to conventional hot work tool steels.
9966 SUPER C
Patented NiCrMoV hot work alloy with excellent toughness. Resistant to wear and high temperatures.
